Elizabeth Lindsey, MD


Dr. Elizabeth Lindsey was born and raised in South Carolina. She graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine, after which she completed her medical training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She then finished her internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. In 2003, Dr. Lindsey moved to Nashville with her family to complete a gastroenterology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Upon completion of her medical fellowship, she accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at Vanderbilt, where she practiced for 9 years. During her tenure at Vanderbilt, she participated in the training of numerous fellows, particularly in the practice of EUS. Dr. Lindsey has been a presenter in many courses offered by the GI Division at Vanderbilt, including the annual GI Update Course and the annual Pancreas Symposium, and she is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Dr. Lindsey's areas of professional interest include women's gastrointestinal issues, gastrointestinal malignancies and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), celiac sprue, pancreatic disorders, and colorectal cancer screening. Dr. Lindsey was very excited to transition to St. Thomas Medical Partners in Nashville and Lebanon in June of 2015, where she will continue to offer patients comprehensive gastroenterology care. Dr. Lindsey joined Lebanon Endoscopy Center June 2015.

Dr. Lindsey is married to Joshua Lindsey who is an attorney in Nashville. Together, they have three children
